"Reviving Vintage Vignettes: Crafting Classic Lens Hoods"

Presented here are our cherished picks of legendary lenses, which we hold in high esteem. However, the accompanying lens hoods have experienced such a surge in value that we have found ourselves hesitant to use them daily. Due to this, we have made the choice to engineer enduring lens hoods that will withstand a lifetime and allow us to experience the pleasure of patina development through brassing.

Project 1 & 3: Type 1 and Type 3 Lens hood Designed for Nikkor-W 3.5cm F1.8 S and LTM

We have designed Type 1 primarily to fits on W-Nikkor 3.5cm F1.8 S-Mount, and Leica Thambar 9cm F2.2 LTM.

Type 3 is designed to fit on W-Nikkor 3.5cm F2.5, and Leica Summilux 5.0cm F1.4 V1,2,3.. It also fits on Angenieux 90mm F2/5.

Project 2: Type 2 Lens Hood Designed for Nikkor-N 5cm F1.1 is patented in under Japan Patent No. 765052

"Only 2,593 units made: 835 in internal S mount, 1.547 units in external S mount, and only 211 in Leica thread mount". Mint plastic lens hood for Nikkor 5cm F1.1 cost more than US$2,000. Even if you acquires it, you would not dare take it out of the box..

Project 5: Type 5 Lens Hood Designed for Nikkor 2.5cm F4 LTM - 34.5cm

The Type 5 has a thread of 34.5mm and will also fit on Nikkor 3.5cm F2.5 LTM.

Project 5L - The design and prototype are ready. Fits great on Leica Summaron 28mm F5.6.

Project 6XYZ: Lens Hood for Lecia 39 (X), 46(Y), 49mm(Z) Filter Size

Under Designing Stage.

Project 7AB: Type 2 designed for 58mm (A) and 60mm (B) Filter Size.

UNDER DESIGNING STAGE : We are currently considering to make the 58mm and 60mm versions of our Type 2 hood incorporating our OLJ patented design.

Project 8: Lens Hood for Zunow 5cm F1.1 (under consideration)

"Total production number is said to be either 800 or 1,000. I have 3 units with 54.5cm thread and one in 55cm. I have never seen the original lens hood ever before.
